Ashton Woods Atlanta Division President Dwayne Hill Elected to HomeAid Atlanta Board
Award-winning homebuilder joins the fight against homelessness in Atlanta
ATLANTA (Dec.14, 2017) – Ashton Woods, one of the nation’s largest private homebuilders, has announced that Dwayne Hill, president of the Ashton Woods Atlanta division, has joined the board of directors of HomeAid Atlanta, the local chapter of the national nonprofit HomeAid America, a building industry charity and one of the nation's largest builders of housing for the homeless. Hill’s appointment further demonstrates Ashton Woods’ company-wide commitment to the fight against homelessness begun by CEO Ken Balogh, who joined HomeAid America’s board earlier this year. Other Ashton Woods divisions are currently in the process of activating partnerships with local HomeAid chapters in those markets.
“This is an important cause for us and our industry,” said Hill, president of the Ashton Woods Atlanta Division. “I am honored to join the board and further strengthen our support of HomeAid’s mission of building new lives for homeless families and individuals.”
Mandy Crater, HomeAid Atlanta executive director said, “We are so excited to have Dwayne join our board. The Ashton Woods Atlanta Division has already been a tremendous help this year by participating in a Care Day, our one-day, volunteer-powered, maintenance project at Covenant House of Georgia. We are thrilled that one of the nation’s largest and well-respected homebuilders is joining us to build new lives for homeless families and individuals here in the metro Atlanta area.”
Hill has been with the company since 2010 and has served as president of the Ashton Woods Atlanta division since 2013. He previously held positions as vice president of sales and marketing as well as corporate vice president of sales at the company. Prior to Ashton Woods, Hill held various leadership positions in sales and marketing within the public and private homebuilding industry.
Ashton Woods’ corporate and Atlanta offices participated in Care Day for the Covenant House Georgia on October 13. Work included painting the exteriors of two cottages, alleviating drainage problems by installing a drainage ditch, building a raised garden bed, and installing a mediation garden.
